This slide should contain the following: Background: Who is filing the case? Why? Constitutional question: What is the question at hand? (Oyez.com has great ones) Ruling: What did the court decide? Significance/Holding: Was this overturned? Why is it a landmark case Visual logo --> You will also need to create one visual slide that serves a memory tool. You can collage images together, design your own logo, or draw something and take a picture. It should help your peers create a connection to the case in their memory, serving as a trigger. For example, Brown v. Board might want to have a school in its logo. Written argument --> This is where you will be competing against the case you are matched with. Essentially you need to create an argument for why this case is the most significant/important in American history. Your written argument could include the following: Actual performance – What has been the actual impact of the decision v. what the public thinks does. Past performance - Historical importance of the case; has it stood up over time?
